Most Guided hunts will be on horseback. 7 day packages include arrival and departure days and 5 full days of hunting. All deer tags in Colorado are by draw only.

Weight Restrictions:
Pack-in camp allows 65 lbs. - 1 duffel bag, Army type, with 1 stuff sleeping bag. Will not pack excess baggage. For Horseback hunts - 235 lbs. maximum hunter weight.

**All Muzzle loading seasons are in September. Muzzleloader hunts are by special permit, which you must apply for by the first week of April to be eligible. We hunt map unit 63 which requires 3-4 points to draw an Elk tag, and 4-5 for a Mule Deer. You may draw a cow tag with no points.

All guided horseback hunts include meals, lodging, guide, game packing, and transportation of meat to processor and taxidermist if desired. We will pick you up in town and get you to and from camp if you fly into the Montrose Airport (MTJ).
Guided Elk and Mule Deer Hunts
**Reservations are secured when deposit (50% of trip price) is received. Cancellations made more than thirty days in advance may be transferred to another trip within the year if available. The remaining 50% of the trip price is due 30 days prior to arrival. Gratuities are not included !
Private Land Semi-guided Mule Deer Hunt - Guaranteed Tag!!!
For the Last few years I have been offering a private land mule deer hunt. This hunt includes a landowner voucher for a guaranteed tag, no need to draw. You can use these and still keep and apply for your preference points. We have had 100% opportunity and success on this hunt so far. You will be hunting on or near agricultural areas that attract the local deer. Some deer will also be moving in to the private areas due to pressure on the Forest and BLM adjacent to these properties. You will be responsible for your meals, lodging, and transportation to the hunt area daily. We are only 10 minutes from Montrose, CO. This is a morning and evening hunt with the middle of the day to rest or enjoy some local sights or even do some trout fishing. Call if you are interested. There are a limited number of tags and these sell quick.
